Photography That Delivers

If you’re in a manufacturing or retail business space you likely know what it’s like to introduce a product to the market. Often this product is the culmination of hours of labor and significant investment. Investing in photos that showcases your product in its best presentation is critical to ensuring you continue to build on your product investment.

This past summer we had the privilege of working with Belmont Trailers, a premium trailer manufacturer in Leola, PA with over 20 years of industry expertise. They tasked our team with capturing images of two of their new FlatTrak trailers: the CarHauler and Enclosed models. The imagery required visuals that highlighted the trailers’ innovative low-clearance loading and lowering capabilities.

The CarHauler needed dynamic shots to appeal to car enthusiasts, while the Enclosed model photography had to showcase its versatility for relatively unexplored commercial, industrial, and even specialty uses. We coordinated a total of seven shoots across three days, incorporating several unique props while managing complex logistics and unique challenges.

Creative Brainstorming

Our process began with an internal brainstorming session to develop a range of concepts we expected would promote Belmont’s vision and brand. We pitched multiple ideas to their marketing team to receive direction on preferred scenarios.

For the CarHauler, we focused on showcasing vehicles utilizing the trailer’s low-clearance loading in attractive settings.

For the Enclosed model, we settled on scenes highlighting its secure storage and accessibility for commercial and industrial applications, such as equipment transportation or product delivery.

Logistics and Execution

Our team executed several shoots across diverse locations to capture the trailers’ versatility. From cars rolling onto the low clearance CarHauler in front of a city skyline to a bustling city street, a new car dealer setting, and a classic car scene, we showcased the trailer’s appeal to car enthusiasts.

For the Enclosed series, we chose two settings, one using a floor sweeper and the other a pallet jack to demonstrate practical applications like equipment transport or product delivery.

Each shoot involved at least two photographers and sometimes more personnel to cover the logistics of the trailers and props. Our ultimate goal was simply ensuring that the low-clearance features of these trailers shone through despite challenges like tight schedules and variable weather best demonstrated by our angles of photography and product positioning.

These photos, of ample quality for print brochures, social media, and trade show displays, provide Belmont with versatile assets to drive their current and future marketing campaigns.
